Why Focus Search?
Born From Passion
Whilst at university, I'd have to visit hundreds of websites for research and development every week. I became enraged by the fact that I had to reach for my mouse, click, then go back to typing which massively interrupted my flow. And so, Focus Search was born! It takes the headache out of browsing and keeps you focused and productive during long browsing sessions!
Private By Design
Privacy is at the heart of everything I do. Focus Search is no exception. This addon collects no data from it's users, nor does it monitor the websites you visit. I get simple analytics from Google which tell me the number of installs, number of users, and what countries people are from - non of this is part of my code though, that's all part of the Chrome Web Store.
On-going Support
This is a passion project. For that reason I kept it simple. This means my addon is easy to maintain, update, and improve. Since it released in March of 2023, it's been updated consistently. Bug fixes, new features, and even a fancy UI! This addon will receive on-going support. It's something I use daily and plan to keep around for years to come.
